Surprise Proposal in Glacier National Park

As a wedding and elopement photographer, I have had the pleasure of capturing many beautiful moments in this breathtaking park. However, the surprise proposal in Glacier National Park of Jackson and Sydney will always stand out in my memory.

Jackson had contacted me a few months before they visited Montana, and we had planned everything out for the big moment. He had been to Glacier before, but Sydney had never been, so he wanted to surprise her with a proposal during their trip.

On the day of the proposal, I arrived at the designated spot a few minutes early, and the weather was terrible. A typical Montana winter weather situation mixed with rain, and I was beginning to worry that the proposal would not go as planned. However, Jackson and Sydney ran a bit late, and I couldn’t have been happier! Because as they arrived, the weather cleared, and the beautiful blue skies and mountains revealed themselves.

As they made their way out to the dock at Lake McDonald, I followed nonchalantly at a respectful distance. Watching them walk down the dock, I could sense Jackson’s nervousness, and I knew this would be a special moment.

Once they were in the perfect spot, Jackson got down on one knee and proposed to Sydney. She was so surprised and excited, and it was pure magic. It was an honor to capture this beautiful moment, and I could feel their love.

After the proposal, we took a few more photos, and then Jackson and Sydney spent the rest of the day exploring Glacier National Park. The stunning landscapes, snowy mountains, and sparkling lakes were the perfect backdrop for their love story.
